The BSCG Certified Drug Free® supplement certification program offers protection against drugs on the WADA Prohibited List as well as prescription, over-the-counter, and illicit drugs not banned in sport that no other program includes.
The WADA Prohibited List governs Olympic sport and is used by all national anti-doping organisations (NADOs) including ASADA, UKAD, and USADA. It also serves as a model for sport federations, professional sport leagues, college sport, and military/vocational drug-testing programs, which ban many compounds on the WADA Prohibited List. Good Manufacturing Practice
Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is the term used to describe the systems manufacturers of supplements are required to have in place to ensure their products are consistently safe, effective and of acceptable quality. The requirements are expressed in a code of practice referred to as a Code of GMP.
Mountain Red was the first manufacturer of GMP Deer Velvet Antler in New Zealand over 20 years ago. Since then some, but not all have followed.
It may surprise our customers that their is no requirement in New Zealand to manufacture supplements to this quality standard, so it's always worth checking
Importantly, a product manufactured in a GMP facility certified does not automatically become GMP - there are additional testing and quality control steps that need to be taken to permit the final product to be classified as "GMP manufactured" - if in doubt ask your supplier to confirm that the product is actually manufactured to this standards. Mountain Red is always cGMP manufactured.
Mountain Red is manufactured here in New Zealand in a facility that is fully audited by the US FDA and the product itself meets all requirements of US FDA standards in terms of quality and testing. Please note, the US FDA regulations require those who manufacture, package, or hold dietary supplements to follow current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) that help ensure the identity, purity, quality, strength, and composition of dietary supplements.
