Fact 5, ceer velvet colour qualilty

Velvet is not Antler. Antler is much lighter. Velvet is a rich reddy brown colour

Velvet is not antler. Antler is hard inactive bone whereas velvet is soft and a rich source of bioactives. One easy way to tell the difference is by looking at the colour of the product—velvet is a rich reddy brown colour and antler products are light in colour. Be wary of products that are light in colour, as they are most likely a product with a higher percentage of bone in it. At Mountain Red, we harvest our premium velvet at the optimum time during the season to ensure that all the amazing properties are well maintained and to ensure we are harvesting antler, not bone. Because we work so closely with our boys who grow our wonderful velvet, we know exactly when that velvet is ready to harvest and then back out into the paddock they go. Here at Mountain Red, we guarantee the quality of our deer velvet—we know our boys grow the very best deer velvet possible.
